Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Bear Stevenson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Lunchmeat Sandwich!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Chris Saunders and Jeff Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sandwich with a lazy takedown attempt
and Stevenson counters with a nice body shot.
Sandwich moves out of range as Stevenson throws a body kick.
Sandwich shoots in and drives through. Stevenson sprawls well.
Stevenson cracks a nice hook into Sandwich's ribs.
Sandwich tries for a takedown but Stevenson circles away easily
and Stevenson counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Bear Stevenson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lunchmeat Sandwich.

We've been hearing reports that Stevenson has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Lunchmeat Sandwich seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Stevenson goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Stevenson lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Sandwich circles away quickly and effectively.
Sandwich gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
enabling Stevenson to counter with a crisp jab.
Stevenson lands an overhand right.

Sandwich shoots in and gets a takedown into Stevenson's guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Stevenson is pulling down on Sandwich's head. It's preventing any offense from Sandwich, at least for the moment.

Stevenson escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Sandwich gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Sandwich is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Sandwich stands and throws Stevenson's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Sandwich is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Stevenson is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Stevenson tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Sandwich wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Sandwich tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Sandwich goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Stevenson has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Sandwich but great work by Stevenson.
Sandwich is looking to reverse the position.
Stevenson wants to control but Sandwich is keeping him busy.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Stevenson is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Sandwich's shoulder. That is not cool.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

and Stevenson makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

and Stevenson counters with a nice low kick that buckles Sandwich's knee momentarily.
Bear Stevenson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lunchmeat Sandwich.

That kick from Stevenson tenderised Sandwich's leg. Sandwich is trying to keep his angry face on.
Stevenson throws a hook to the side of Sandwich's head but Sandwich sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Oooooh!!! Stevenson has knocked Sandwich down with a huge combo! Stevenson steps away and waves a wobbly Sandwich back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

and Stevenson counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Stevenson will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

and Stevenson counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Sandwich doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Stevenson counters with a left to the body.
Sloppy strikes from Stevenson. Those never looked like landing.
Sandwich takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Stevenson unloads with a big right hand that wobbles Sandwich! He's leaning against the cage trying to keep his feet but Stevenson is unloading with more strikes now! Sandwich drops to his knees and the referee stops the fight for a TKO!
