PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Maciej Dobrzynski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hamood Hallak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dobrzynski comes to the cage accompanied by Sabaton - Uprising. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Hamood Hallak!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dobrzynski misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Hallak.

Dobrzynski gets caught napping as Hallak dives in and scores a takedown. Dobrzynski manages to retain guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Hallak looks to land a combination but Dobrzynski avoids it well.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Hallak has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Hallak might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Dobrzynski haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Dobrzynski got a little sloppy there for a moment and Hallak has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Dobrzynski has managed to get both his arms back between Hallak's legs - danger averted.
