PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Henry Torres (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jonas Karlovsson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Torres comes to the cage accompanied by No Control-You will crawl. Jonas Karlovsson told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Torres misses with a body shot.

Torres has been working on his boxing with his coaches at The Holding Cell in the buildup to the fight.

Torres feints and as Karlovsson raises his hands in defense, Torres changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Karlovsson working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

It looks like Jonas Karlovsson has been cut.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Henry Torres has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jonas Karlovsson.

Karlovsson is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Torres has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Torres scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Karlovsson to see if he's OK.

Torres is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Karlovsson is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Torres is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Karlovsson can do to turn this around?

It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Torres here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.
