Partio comes to the cage accompanied by Partio enters the arena, that little fucker has bad intentions!. Il has chosen RATM - Renegades of Funk as his entrance music. Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Marco Blurström and Matti Vanhoillinen.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Il cracks a nice hook into Partio's ribs.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Il has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Partio takes a swing at Il's ribcage but misses.

Il throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Partio bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Kauko Partio seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Kauko Partio decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
Kim Young Il was interviewed post fight and said 'Well, it was an honour to fight at Olympics with all best bantamweights.'.
