Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Zander Freyer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rio Ler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Freyer comes to the cage accompanied by Milquetoast by Helmet. On his way into the cage it seems that Zander Freyer has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Zander Freyer seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Rio Ler!
The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Igor Prikhodko and Aleksandr Martynov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ler walks into a left hand.
Freyer fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Ler manages to avoid it.
Nice straight punches there by Freyer. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Freyer.
Freyer chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Freyer lands a jab.
Freyer scores with the left hand. Ler knows he should have avoided that one.
Ler's coach down at Brophy's Evil Troid Academy (BETA) was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Ler's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Freyer just misses with a punch to the body.

Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Freyer. Ler shrugs it off though.
Freyer closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Ler tries to get to full guard but Freyer has control of the leg.

Ler is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Freyer looks to score some points with some ground and pound.

We've been hearing that Freyer has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.
Ler manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Freyer manages to get himself to full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Freyer has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Ler is working away from the top position though.

Freyer is trying to get back to full guard.
Ler wants to take a breather but Freyer is having none of it.
Freyer is in trouble now - Ler has advanced to mount!
Freyer knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Ler on the ground.
Ler looking to ground and pound but Freyer is blocking nicely.

Freyer is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Zander Freyer will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Freyer turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Ler checks a leg kick.
Zander Freyer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Freyer loads up on a big right hand but Ler slips the punch.
Freyer lands a body shot.
Freyer throws a low kick, looking for Ler's leg but Ler calmly moves out of range.
Ler defending well as Freyer loads up on a big left hand.

Freyer tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Ler was well out of range. Poor timing from Freyer.
Freyer throws a shot from downtown. Ler moves away and avoids it.
Freyer thows a body shot but no joy.
Ler takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
A cross from Freyer lands.
Ler shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Freyer wants to get back to full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Ler missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Freyer trying to hold on to Ler's head to control him but Ler postures up.
Freyer is refusing to be controlled, as Ler sits in half guard.
Ler stalling away here and it's allowed Freyer to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.
Ler wants to control from the top but Freyer keeps moving.
Ler pushing down on Freyer's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Ler is trying to control the action in half guard but Freyer is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Ler wants to free his trapped foot but Freyer is holding on for dear life with his legs.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Freyer tries to roll over but Ler keeps him under control.

Freyer is looking for a sweep. Ler is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Ler passes to full mount!

Freyer has given up his back here. Will Ler look for the submission or keep pounding away?
Freyer rolls, trying to escape but Ler keeps control of the position.
Ler working from the back looking to end the fight with a rear naked choke. Freyer is doing well to defend. Ler seems to have got his hand under the chin though and he's sunk the choke in! Freyer is forced to tap and this one is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Rio Ler!
Rio Ler tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
