With a record of 15 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Brandon Walker!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Wagner Zegers and Paulsen Ambrosius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barnes is looking to chop away at Walker's legs.
Walker displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
Walker circles away from the clinch attempt.
Walker moves forwards but Barnes connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Barnes on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Walker misses with the combination.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Nice shot lands for Walker.
Walker throws a jab when Barnes was well out of range.
Barnes has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Qube Striking in the buildup to the fight.
Walker on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.

Walker misses with an uppercut

and Barnes moves into the clinch.
Barnes tries a knee to the head but Walker blocks it.
Barnes lands a right hand that snaps the head of Walker backwards.
Barnes throws an elbow but it misses.
Walker tries to score a body lock takedown but Barnes shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Frankie Barnes has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brandon Walker.
Walker throws a head punch that misses.
Walker is struggling to control the position.
Walker trying to stall but Barnes improves his position.
Barnes struggles to land a body shot inside as Walker controls his hands.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Barnes.


It looks like Brandon Walker has been cut.

Barnes with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head.

and Barnes counters with a straight right hand.

Barnes ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Walker moves away.

Walker forces Barnes back against the ropes and clinches.
Barnes unloads a knee to the mid-section. Walker lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.

Walker drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Barnes gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Barnes keeps control of Walker as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Barnes landing knees to the head.


That has opened up Brandon Walker's cut even more.
Knees in the clinch landing for Barnes.
Walker takes a shot to the head.
Barnes throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Walker blocks it with crossed arms.
Barnes throws a knee to the head but misses.
Walker is looking to break free of the clinch but Barnes has double underhooks.
Barnes pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the ropes.
Barnes misses with a knee strike.
Barnes blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

Walker breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Barnes tries a head kick but it misses.
Barnes tries to clinch but Walker is having none of it.
Barnes punishes Walker's body with a nice straight punch.
Walker swings for the body but Barnes moves out of range.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Walker misses with a wild body shot.
Barnes misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
A cross from Barnes lands.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Walker ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Barnes moves away.
Barnes tests Walker's chin there with a solid looking shot.
A low kick from Barnes misses
and Walker counters with a straight right hand.
Barnes scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!


Walker is rocked!

Walker closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the ropes.
Walker is still on wobbly legs! Can Barnes finish him?
Barnes lands a body shot in the clinch.
Barnes lands an elbow inside.


The cut above Brandon Walker's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Walker is looking to break free of the clinch but Barnes has double underhooks.
Barnes stalling in the clinch but Walker improves position.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Walker pushes Barnes back against the ropes and unloads with a body punch.
Walker has thrown a lot of knees so far in this fight and we're lead to believe that's something he's been working on the gym prior to this fight.
Walker lands a hook that snaps the head of Barnes backwards.
Walker seems to have recovered his senses.
Walker lands a nice shot to the body.

Walker pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Barnes throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Frankie Barnes dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Brandon Walker's cut.
That's time! Barnes's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Walker throws a hook but Barnes blocks it.
Walker is looking to chop away at Barnes's legs.
Walker tries to bum rush Barnes with a series of wild strikes but Barnes uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Barnes blocks a head kick by Walker.
Walker throws a low kick but Barnes moves out of range easily.
Walker chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Barnes can pounce on him.
Barnes connects with a solid leg kick.
Walker steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Barnes.
Barnes scores with a sloppy right hand. Walker should have avoided that one.
Walker moves forwards but Barnes connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Brandon Walker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Walker tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Barnes was well out of range. Poor timing from Walker.
Barnes misses with a wild body shot.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Walker moves into the clinch.
Barnes pushes Walker against the ropes. Barnes is working some dirty boxing. Barnes pushes off with a quick right hook! Walker goes down! Walker tries to stand but stumbles back to his kness! Barnes moves in to finish and the ref steps in to prevent any more damage!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Frankie Barnes!
Frankie Barnes retains his middleweight title!
An out of breath Frankie Barnes thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
The defeated Brandon Walker had this to say: 'Frankie is just too good. Can anyone beat him?'.
