Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Edward Pattinson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stephen Cerrone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pattinson comes to the ring accompanied by Blue (Da Ba Dee) - Eiffel 65. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 12 - 3, fighting out of Helsinki, Edward Pattinson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 13 - 0, fighting out of London, Stephen Cerrone!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Paulsen Ambrosius and Nard Betker.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Cerrone closes the distance and pushes Pattinson back into the ropes.
Pattinson blocks a punch to the side of the head.

Pattinson's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Cerrone has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Pattinson breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Pattinson buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Pattinson on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Pattinson moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Cerrone walks forward, straight into a front kick from Pattinson.
Cerrone ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Pattinson moves away.

Cerrone wants to clinch.
Pattinson steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Cerrone.
Pattinson avoids a punch combination nicely.
Pattinson throws a leg kick that misses.
Cerrone looks to score with a jab to the body but Pattinson is just out of range.
Cerrone misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Cerrone fails to land the takedown.
Edward Pattinson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Stephen Cerrone.
Cerrone swings for the body but Pattinson moves out of range.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Cerrone takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Stephen Cerrone dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Pattinson lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

Cerrone tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Pattinson paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Stephen Cerrone is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Cerrone checks a leg kick.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Cerrone looks to land a left hand but Pattinson moved out of range nicely.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Cerrone, as that shot connected.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Pattinson is looking to control Cerrone's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Pattinson avoid being mounted?

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Pattinson is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.

Cerrone is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Pattinson sees it coming and defends easily.

Cerrone is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Pattinson defends it well.

Pattinson is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Cerrone pulls his head out easily.
Pattinson tries to kick Cerrone off but Cerrone keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Cerrone wants to work for an arm triangle but Pattinson is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Pattinson trying to hold on to Cerrone's head to control him but Cerrone postures up.

Cerrone looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Pattinson is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Cerrone is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Cerrone is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Pattinson doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Cerrone.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Edward Pattinson.
I think Pattinson has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
