Williams comes into a darkened arena with his song building. UFC: Closer to the Edge (Jared Leto) kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Bruce Li is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Williams throws a leg kick that is checked

and Li moves into the clinch.
Williams tries to land knees in the clinch but Li avoids the damage to the body.

Williams breaks from the clinch.
Williams jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Li scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Williams keeps the fight on the outside.
Williams throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Li drops his hands momentarily and Williams takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

It looks like Bruce Li has been cut.
Williams misses with a hook. Li ducked under it nicely.
Li takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Li tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Williams manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Li feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Williams's calf.

Williams throws a leg kick but Li sees it coming and checks it nicely.

Li is looking to clinch but Williams is avoiding it.

Williams throws a punch but it's blocked by Li.
Come on Li - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Li prevents a body shot from Williams.

Li breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Williams tries to land a front kick but Li steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Li lands a nice looking body kick.
Williams throws a solid leg kick but Li takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Williams.
Li steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Williams.
Williams misses with a looping left.
Williams scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.

Williams pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Li checks the leg kick nicely there.
Williams misses with an uppercut.
Li tries a low kick but Williams avoids it.
Williams motions for Li to come forward. Williams throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Williams pivots, looking for a leg kick but Li is out of range and Williams settles back down.

and Li counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Li.

Williams is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Li is defending well for now.

Williams can't find room to land a body shot as Li controls the action.

Williams throws a sloppy head kick

and Li moves into the clinch.
A right hook to the body lands for Williams.

Williams misses with a knee to the head.
A frustrated look appears on Li's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Williams manages to break the clinch.
Li fails with a takedown attempt.
Williams misses with a low kick.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Li slips a jab from Williams.
Li avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Williams throws a low kick, looking for Li's leg but Li calmly moves out of range.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Simon Williams dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Bruce Li's cut.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Williams does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Williams throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
That kick from Li tenderised Williams's leg. Williams is trying to keep his angry face on.

Li has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Li's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Williams paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Williams misses with a left hand

and Li holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Williams has been looking to improve his clinch game in recent weeks. So far he's outscoring his opponent in the clinch so it seems to have been worthwhile.
Li is trying to drag Williams to the mat but Williams just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Williams just leaning against Li, taking a breather.
We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Williams in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off.

Williams lands with a left to the head.

Li is rocked!
Williams creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Li with a big uppercut! Li tries to clinch up but Williams pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Li to the mat! Li covers up and Williams unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
