Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Thomas Neidhart!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Chalky White!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Cecil Peabody and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Neidhart tests White's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Neidhart slips a jab from White.
White ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
White uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Neidhart.
Neidhart misses with a head kick.
White lunges at Neidhart with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Neidhart's hand.
Neidhart is looking to score with low kicks.
Neidhart jabbing away but nothing is landing.
White cracks a nice hook into Neidhart's ribs.
Neidhart misses with a head kick.
Neidhart throws a leg kick that misses.
White checks the leg kick.
White ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Neidhart misses with a hook.
White loads up on a big right hand but Neidhart slips the punch.
White displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Neidhart throws out the jab.

Neidhart looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
White takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Neidhart has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
White throws a body punch but Neidhart moves out of range.
White moves away from the strike by Neidhart.
White misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Neidhart takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Neidhart throws a hook but White avoids it easily.
The fighters circle momentarily. Neidhart darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
White scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
White tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Neidhart was well out of range. Poor timing from White.
White connects with a body shot that sends Neidhart's belly button to the back.

White shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. White showed some decent athleticism there.
Neidhart is looking to improve his position.

Neidhart is refusing to be controlled, as White sits in half guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Chalky White wasn't active enough on the ground.
White checks a leg kick nicely.

White feints and as Neidhart raises his hands in defense, White changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
White throwing strikes but missing.
White loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Neidhart is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

White distracts Neidhart with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Neidhart tries to land a sweep but no joy.

White trying to move into half guard but instead Neidhart has managed to sweep!
White can't keep his opponent in guard - Neidhart advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Neidhart looks to land a strike but White avoids it nicely and regains full guard.

Neidhart slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

White controlling the position.
Neidhart wants to control from the top but White keeps moving.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Neidhart tries to free his leg and advance position but White is retaining full guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Neidhart shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as White sprawls well. White wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Neidhart gets slowly back to his feet.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
White moves away from the strike by Neidhart.
Horrible takedown by White or perhaps it was just good defense by Neidhart which made him look bad.
Neidhart goes for a double leg but White avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as White continues to drive forward.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Neidhart's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

White scores with a one two! Neidhart had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
White uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Neidhart.

White ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Neidhart moves away.

White wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
White bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Neidhart swings away with a leg kick that misses.
White has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off.
Neidhart throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

White throws a series of punches but Neidhart avoids them all with ease.
Neidhart bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Chalky White seems to be getting the better of the standup.
White fails to land with a series of punches.
Neidhart throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.

and Neidhart takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
White lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Neidhart backs up against the cage.

White looks to score with a jab to the body but Neidhart is just out of range.
Nice straight punches there by White. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of White.

White is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
White seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
White working over Neidhart with some ground and pound. Neidhart looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Neidhart is trying to get back to full guard.
White with the ground and pound but Neidhart uses the opportunity to regain guard.

Neidhart working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. White doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. White manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
White has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Neidhart escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. White gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
White stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Neidhart swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Chalky White showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!


White throws a looping overhand right but Neidhart ducks down to avoid it.
Neidhart throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Neidhart throws a jab but it's blocked by White.
White works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
White misses with a looping left.

Neidhart gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows White to score an easy takedown into full guard.
White lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

White is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
White throws an elbow that misses. Neidhart uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in White's guard. Nice move by Neidhart!

White bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Neidhart's guard.

White throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Neidhart stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
White blocks a low kick nicely.
Neidhart is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by White.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

White throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Neidhart on the side of the head.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

White throws the left hand but Neidhart avoids the punch easily.
White walks into a straight right hand from Neidhart.

Chalky White comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well White has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
