The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Boone tries to sprawl but Williams drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Boone is trying to control but can't.

Williams is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Boone defends it well.
Boone trying to hold on to Williams's head to control him but Williams postures up.
Williams looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Williams is thwarting Boone's attempts to control the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Myles Boone just wasn't active enough.
Williams throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Williams gets a double leg takedown into Boone's guard.
Boone trying to keep a closed guard but Williams is proving a slippery customer.
Williams wants to pass the guard but Boone is keeping the position.
Boone is trying to keep Williams in close.
Williams must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Williams looking to sit in guard and control but Boone gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Williams throws some shots to the body, keeping his opponent honest.

Williams is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Williams can do anything to dispel that myth.
Boone's corner is telling him to maintain position.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Myles Boone wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Boone has a takedown stuffed.
Williams connects with a combination that backs up Boone into the cage. Williams lands a flurry of punches that gets past Boone's guard. Boone is down and the referee has seen enough. It is all over! Williams bursts into tears - this win obviously means a huge amount to him.
