PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Leather Slammer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tony Siblas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Siblas is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Furious Angels by Rob Dougan. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 21 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Leather Slammer!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tony Siblas!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Matti Vanhoillinen and Arvi Lind.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Slammer on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Siblas throws an overhand right that lands on Slammer's shoulder, as Slammer tries to avoid the shot.

Siblas gets a clinch.
Siblas throws a head punch that misses.

Slammer has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Siblas clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

Slammer looking to finish the fight with a rear naked choke. Siblas is controlling Slammer 's left arm and he spins nicely into guard.
Siblas works over Slammer with some ground and pound from guard.
Slammer is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Slammer is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Siblas looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Slammer striking off his back but it's not causing Siblas any problems.

Siblas throwing strikes but missing.
Siblas postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Slammer is looking for a triangle but Siblas pushes his legs off easily.
Slammer is trying to control the position but Siblas postures up.
Siblas must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Slammer is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Siblas defends well.

Slammer working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Siblas doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Siblas manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Siblas postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Siblas connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Slammer some visible discomfort.
Slammer manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Slammer passes the guard and advances to mount!

Slammer goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Siblas is on top in guard.

Slammer is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Siblas defends well.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Siblas got a little sloppy there for a moment and Slammer has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Siblas has managed to get both his arms back between Slammer's legs - danger averted.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Siblas is in close to Slammer's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Siblas landing some decent shots from guard.
Siblas stands up out of Slammer's guard for a moment - Slammer manages to land a nice upkick.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Siblas wants to control from the top but Slammer keeps moving.

Slammer has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Siblas can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Slammer controls Siblas momentarily but Siblas frees himself.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Leather Slammer will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Slammer fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Siblas.
Siblas looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Siblas throws a wild body kick that Slammer sees coming a mile off.
Slammer has his takedown stuffed
and Siblas counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Slammer getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Slammer shoots in for a double leg but Siblas sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Leather Slammer. That's going to take a lot out of him.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Slammer closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Siblas and Slammer are patiently standing in front of each other looking for an opening. Siblas throws a head kick. It's landed, knocking Slammer into next week! Ooooh that was huge! Siblas knows it - he's on the cage flexing is biceps. That's a bit weird considering he won by kick but whatever.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:45 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Tony Siblas!

After winning the bout, Tony Siblas thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
