Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dean Anderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hans Beijer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Beijer has chosen David hasselhoff - Looking for freedome as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dean Anderson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Hans Beijer!
The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Dean Styles and Columbo Gatti.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Beijer moves into range and connects with a jab.


It looks like Dean Anderson has been cut.
Anderson takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Anderson lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.


It looks like Hans Beijer has been cut.
Anderson throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Anderson tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Anderson swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Anderson thows a body shot but no joy.
Anderson throws a looping overhand right but Beijer ducks down to avoid it.
Beijer swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Anderson throws a body kick that misses.
Anderson tries to land a front kick but Beijer steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Nice sprawl there from Beijer as Anderson shoots in.
Anderson takes a jab right on the kisser.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Anderson lands a nice looking body kick.
Anderson chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Beijer can pounce on him.
Anderson moves out of range of the body kick.
Beijer motions for Anderson to come forward. Beijer throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Beijer throws a low kick but Anderson moves out of range easily.

Anderson misses with a jab to the body

and Beijer counters with a nice double leg into side control. Anderson won't be happy with that.
Anderson tries to bench press Beijer off him but Beijer keeps the position.
Beijer remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Beijer remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Anderson slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Good leg kick by Anderson there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Beijer tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Anderson is able to avoid easily.

Anderson gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Beijer to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Anderson manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Beijer manages to get himself to full guard.

That was a close second round but I would say that Dean Anderson will probably get the nod.

Dean Anderson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Anderson shoots for a double leg takedown but Beijer sprawls well. He's pushed Anderson's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Hans Beijer seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Beijer throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Anderson was covering up waiting for the punch and Beijer finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Beijer lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.

A relieved looking Hans Beijer thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
