Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Meat Beater (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aadilou Ankutse (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ankutse comes into a darkened arena with his song building. i ka kane kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ankutse slips a jab from Beater.
Beater paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Ankutse with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Beater to score with a decent uppercut.

Ankutse closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Beater to the mat! Beater manages to get full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Ankutse drops back, looking for a kneebar! Beater looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Beater looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Beater!
Ankutse tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Beater has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Beater defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Ankutse.
Ankutse gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Beater counters with a lovely straight right hand!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Beater, as that shot connected.
Beater keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Meat Beater has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Aadilou Ankutse.
Ankutse throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
We've been informed that Ankutse has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

A left and a right from Beater both land. Nice combination.
Beater stuffs the takedown.
Beater tries to clinch but Ankutse moves out of range.
Meat Beater is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Ankutse is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Beater to keep the fight standing.

Ankutse darts in looking for a takedown but Beater gets double underhooks and turns Ankutse into the cage.
Beater lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Ankutse backwards.

Ankutse tries to score a body lock takedown but Beater shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

I was talking to Beater's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
A short uppercut from Beater.
Beater goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Ankutse is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Beater is defending well.
Beater swings wildly with an uppercut but Ankutse uses good head movement to avoid it.
Ankutse fails to pull guard.
Beater pushes Ankutse back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.

Ankutse jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Beater walks away with a smile on his face. Ankutse gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Ankutse walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Beater swings for the body but Ankutse moves out of range.
Ankutse is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Ankutse darts in looking for a takedown but Beater gets double underhooks and turns Ankutse into the cage.

A shot in the inside from Beater.
Ankutse is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Beater pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Ankutse has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Beater is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Ankutse tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Beater smiles and moves away.

Beater dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Beater throws a nice looking combination but Ankutse bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Beater lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Ankutse takes a jab right on the kisser.
Beater throws a right and a left that Ankutse avoids nicely.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Ankutse has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Ankutse there as he acknowledges the shot.

and Beater cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Ankutse is rocked!
Beater is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Beater scores with the left hand. Ankutse knows he should have avoided that one.
Ankutse is still on wobbly legs! Can Beater finish him?
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Beater, right into the meat.
Beater bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Ankutse's head.
Beater misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Beater steps in with a hook that catches Ankutse right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Beater follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Ankutse looks absolutely devastated.
