Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jeremy Voda (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Max Power (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Voda comes to the cage accompanied by Lamb of God - Walk With Me In Hell. Power has chosen Max is coming, better be ready... as his entrance music. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 15 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jeremy Voda!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 37 - 24 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Max Power!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Donald Grub and James Atkins.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Power thows a left - swing and a miss!
Voda misses with a jab, cross combination.
A combination from Voda does no damage.
Power lands a really nice looking cross but Voda seems unphased.
Power waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Voda.
Voda gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Good leg kick by Power there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Voda takes one on the button.
Power fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Voda manages to avoid it.
Voda slips under a jab from Power.
Power throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Power throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Voda throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Power counters with a lovely straight right hand!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Voda looking to score a takedown here. Power is defending well but Voda drives through and ends up in Power's guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Voda won't allow Power to sweep him here.
Power utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Voda trying to control the position from guard on top but Power is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Power looking for a sweep. Not yet Power, not yet.
Power wants to improve his position but instead Voda has moved into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Voda seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Power does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Power is trying to control but can't.

Voda is trying to work for a kimura but Power is defending well.
We've been hearing good reports from Voda's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Power is defending against the submission attempts here by Voda.
Power is doing well to control the position and prevent Voda from advancing to side control.
Power keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Voda is stalling here. Power is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Voda seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Power has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Power goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Voda has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Power but great work by Voda.

Voda tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Power tries to improve position but can't.
Voda trying to control the action but Power is working from the bottom.
Power is looking to regain half guard here but Voda keeps moving and retains side control.

Voda working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter.

Voda looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Power tries to buck Voda off but Voda is having none of it.
The ground and pound from Voda seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Voda trying to control the action but Power is working from the bottom.
Power manages to get back to half guard.

Voda is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Power has managed to free his arm - good work.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Voda with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Max Power will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


A telegraphed right hand from Power misses the target.
A slapping leg kick lands for Voda.

Voda clinches.
A right hook to the body lands for Power.
The referee calls for Voda to work.
Power lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
We've been informed that Power has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Power lands an uppercut.
Power's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Voda lands a hook that snaps the head of Power backwards.
Voda misses with a hook to the ribs.
Power doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Power lands a left hand.
Voda has a couple of punches blocked by Power.
Power lands with a short head shot on the inside.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Voda blocks a punch to the side of the head.
A battle for position here, against the cage.
Voda working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely.

Power is trying to stall.
Power presses Voda against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
Voda misses with a hook to the ribs.
Power gets through Voda's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Voda misses with a body punch.

Voda turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Power can't do much from the bottom here.
Voda is looking to take a break and control but Power is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Voda tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Power is trying to control Voda's posture but Voda avoids it.

Power is looking to reverse the position.
Voda in side control, throwing shots but Power defends.
Power wants to control but Voda postures up.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Voda is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Power has escaped the position, nice work there.

Voda thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Voda sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Power is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Power is being controlled here.
Power sneaks back into half guard.
Voda thows a huge punch but Power dodges it nicely.

Power trying to hold on to Voda's head to control him but Voda postures up.
Voda is trying to control the action in half guard but Power is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Jeremy Voda overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Power wants to get back to full guard.
Power won't allow Voda to pass to mount.

Power is refusing to be controlled, as Voda sits in half guard.

Voda is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Power wants to control but Voda is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Power is not content to let Voda control the position.
Voda not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Power tries to get to full guard but Voda has control of the leg.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That was a close second round but I would say that Jeremy Voda will probably get the nod.

Voda misses with a body kick.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Power.
Power fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Voda shoots in looking for a takedown but Power manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Voda's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
No joy there for Power, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Voda slips under a jab from Power.
Power blocks a leg kick.
Voda tries to bum rush Power with a series of wild strikes but Power uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Power scores with a shot to the body.
Voda connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Voda lands a jab to Power's midsection.
Voda throws the left hand but Power avoids the punch easily.
Voda fails with an attempt to clinch.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Power swats away the attempt to clinch by Voda.
Power scores with a shot to the body.
Voda takes a swing at Power's ribcage but misses.
Power's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Voda connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Power scrambles back to his feet.
Voda fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Power manages to avoid it.
Voda misses with a takedown attempt - Power sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Voda misses with a few strikes there.
Power tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Voda was well out of range. Poor timing from Power.

Power throws a right hand that Voda ducks under and follows up with a left that Voda also avoids with ease.

Power connects with a leg kick. Voda looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Voda defending well as Power loads up on a big left hand.
Voda moves out of range of the strikes.
Voda throws a leg kick which misses Power's front leg but catches the back leg as Power tries to avoid it.
Power throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Jeremy Voda is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Voda bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

The fighters circle momentarily. Voda darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Voda lands with a straight right. Power didn't see that one coming.
Voda uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Power.

Voda tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Power paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Voda slips a jab and a cross from Power.

Voda wants to take the fight to the mat but Power manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jeremy Voda. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Power's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Voda connects with a leg kick. Power looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

Power throws a looping overhand right but Voda ducks down to avoid it.

Power throws out a powerful jab.
Voda connects with a jab.
Voda thuds a left hand into Power's body.
Good exchange - Power coming out on top.
Power swings for the body but Voda moves out of range.
Power misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Power takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Power throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Good exchange - Power coming out on top.
Max Power is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Voda cracks a nice hook into Power's ribs.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Power takes one on the button.
Voda throws a hook but Power avoids it easily.
Voda keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Max Power.
I think Power has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
