Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Matthew Connor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jesse Pinkman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pinkman has chosen On the Rag as his entrance music. Jesse Pinkman has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Matthew Connor!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jesse Pinkman!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Elvis Blanc and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice defenses there by Pinkman.
Pinkman takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Pinkman has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Pinkman on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Matthew Connor seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Connor throws an overhand right that lands on Pinkman's shoulder, as Pinkman tries to avoid the shot.
Connor clobbers Pinkman with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Connor uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Pinkman.
Connor connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Connor connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Connor tests Pinkman's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Connor has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

It looks like Matthew Connor has been cut.
Connor digs a good hook to Pinkman's body.
Connor jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.

Connor stuns Pinkman with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Pinkman throws a series of punches but Connor avoids them all with ease.
Connor scores with a hook to the body. Pinkman takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Connor connects with a right hand. Pinkman shakes it off.

Connor tries to sprawl but Pinkman drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Connor is refusing to be controlled, as Pinkman sits in half guard.

Pinkman seems to be working for a kimura but Connor defends the submission attempt.
Connor is staying active underneath Pinkman, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Pinkman wants to work for an arm triangle but Connor is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Pinkman is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Connor doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Pinkman.

Pinkman is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Connor is just riding it out for now. Pinkman eventually gives up the hold.
Connor is looking for a sweep. Pinkman is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Pinkman moves into full mount! Connor won't be happy about that!
Connor tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Pinkman takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Pinkman tries to control but Connor wriggling away.
Pinkman unloads with some shots from mount but Connor bucks and avoids them well.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Connor tries to lock up and control but Pinkman gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Pinkman has hold of Connor's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Connor manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Connor is looking to improve his position but Pinkman isn't that keen on the idea.

Pinkman working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Connor turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Pinkman off and cradles Connor's limp body as Pinkman celebrates with his corner.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:53 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). Jesse Pinkman!
Our winner, Jesse Pinkman, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
