Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Pelle Kickelssen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dominick Cruz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kickelssen gets a clinch.
Kickelssen will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Cruz up against the cage.
Kickelssen connects with a knee to the head.
Cruz is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Kickelssen has Cruz pressed against the cage, preventing Cruz from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Kickelssen is looking to control Cruz's arms but Cruz gets an underhook and turns him. Now Kickelssen has his back to the cage.
Cruz looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Cruz is trying to break the clinch but Kickelssen is controlling him.
A frustrated look appears on Cruz's face as he tries to break the clinch.

It looks like Dominick Cruz has been cut.

Cruz is looking to break free of the clinch but Kickelssen has double underhooks.

Kickelssen creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Cruz's defenses.

Cruz wants to get back to striking at distance but Kickelssen won't allow it.
Cruz tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Kickelssen just stands there and leans against the cage.

Cruz is still on wobbly legs! Can Kickelssen finish him?
Both fighters working to control the clinch.
Cruz seems to have recovered his senses.
Kickelssen landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Kickelssen prevents Cruz from breaking the clinch.
Kickelssen lands an elbow just above Cruz 's eye.

Cruz tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Pelle Kickelssen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dominick Cruz.

Cruz is trying to trip Kickelssen. He has hold of a leg but Kickelssen is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Cruz persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Cruz prevents Kickelssen from getting back to his feet.

Kickelssen tries to clinch there but Cruz circles away.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Kickelssen.
Kickelssen cracks Cruz with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Cruz has a takedown stuffed.
Kickelssen is throwing a storm of strikes! Right hook, left hook and follows it up with a spinning back fist! Cruz hits the canvas like a rag doll! And just like that, this one is over!
