And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bornas Lopette!
The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Colin Fray and Jeff Smith.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A good leg kick by Lopette.
Tate throws a leg kick but Lopette sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Tate uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Lopette.

Tate is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Lopette's half guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Lopette feints and then cracks Tate's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Tate down.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Lopette crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Tate - the referee stops the clock and Lopette gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Tate. Lopette manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
