The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Obrien was well out of range. Poor timing from Jones.
Obrien fails with the takedown

and Jones counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Obrien tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Jones just stands there and leans against the cage.

Jones pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Jones drives through and clinches with Obrien against the cage.

Jones has hold of one of Obrien's legs. Obrien is fighting the takedown attempt but Jones gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Jones wants to stand but Obrien has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Jones slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Jones slips nicely into half guard.

Jones has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Obrien defend it? Jones steps over the head and cranks it - Obrien is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Jones!
