Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gunner Malone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hjalmar Klason (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Malone comes to the cage accompanied by Jimmy Hendrix - Vodoo Child. Klason has chosen (Hed) Pe - Raise Hell as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 37 - 21 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Hjalmar Klason!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Klason throws a big shot that misses.
Malone scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Klason doesn't seem bothered though.
Klason has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Malone is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Malone uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Klason.
Klason looks to throw the jab but Malone is out of range.

Klason lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Klason shoots in looking for a takedown. Malone tries to sprawl out of it but Klason keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Malone manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Malone throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

The crowd cheers as Klason lands an impressive looking overhand right. Malone doesn't seem phased though.
Klason sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

Malone looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Klason on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Klason changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Malone tries to avoid it but Klason manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Malone to the ground. Malone escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Klason tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Malone was well out of range. Poor timing from Klason.

Malone throws a chopping leg kick but Klason manages to avoid taking any serious damage.

Malone feints and then cracks Klason's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Klason down.
Klason takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

It looks like Hjalmar Klason has been cut.

Malone has Klason up against the cage in a clinch.
Klason tries a body shot but Malone blocks it.

Malone's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Malone throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.

Klason has Malone pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Malone manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Gunner Malone has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hjalmar Klason.

Klason takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

The fight stays on the outside here - Malone looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

That was a close round but I would say that Gunner Malone will probably get the nod.

Klason shakes his hands by his side, trying to relax. Malone takes his eyes off the ball for a moment - Klason sees the opportunity and cracks him with a massive hook! Malone bends double and collapses on top of himself - he's out! The crowd are going absolutely nuts! Wow, what a knockout!
