Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Emilio Copeland (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jake Hilderbrook (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hilderbrook has chosen renegades of funk as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hilderbrook fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Copeland checks it well.
Hilderbrook tries a head kick but it misses.
Copeland looks to score with a jab to the body but Hilderbrook is just out of range.
Copeland takes a swing at Hilderbrook's ribcage but misses.
Copeland misses with an uppercut.

Hilderbrook drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Copeland really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Copeland wants to control but Hilderbrook postures up.
An elbow from Hilderbrook crashes against the mat.
Hilderbrook wants to lay and pray for a moment but Copeland keeps working.
Hilderbrook tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
Hilderbrook throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Copeland works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Copeland has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Hilderbrook has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.

Copeland is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Copeland wants to control from the top but Hilderbrook keeps moving.

Copeland gets to his feet - Hilderbrook follows without any prompting.
Jake Hilderbrook seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hilderbrook misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Hilderbrook scores with a hook to the body. Copeland takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

Hilderbrook bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Copeland can't do much from the bottom here.
Hilderbrook really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Copeland. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Hilderbrook misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Copeland will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Copeland is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Hilderbrook is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Hilderbrook has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Copeland is working away from the top position though.

Copeland maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Hilderbrook could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Copeland has cracked it and Hilderbrook is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Copeland!
