Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Aldo Barbados!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Alex Quarry!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Gregory Folan and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barbados throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
No luck for Quarry with that takedown attempt.
Quarry has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Barbados finds it's way round the side to connect with Quarry's head.
Quarry looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Barbados leaves Quarry with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Aldo Barbados has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Alex Quarry.
Quarry walks into a jab.
Quarry is rocked!
Quarry throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Barbados's waist but Barbados gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Quarry off to one side.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Quarry looks for a takedown but Barbados sprawls well.
Barbados lands a big uppercut and Quarry crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Quarry looks OK. Barbados waves Quarry back to his feet!
Quarry is still on wobbly legs! Can Barbados finish him?
Barbados lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Barbados misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Quarry seems to have recovered his senses.
Barbados connects with a solid leg kick.
Barbados dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Quarry looks winded!
Barbados throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Barbados throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Quarry stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Barbados scores with a leg kick.
Barbados lands a big right hand that sends Quarry crashing to the mat! Barbados stays standing though and waves Quarry back to his feet!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Barbados lands a leg kick that knocks Quarry off balance momentarily.
Barbados cracks Quarry with an open hand slap.
Barbados lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Quarry falls backwards - clearly groggy! Barbados dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Aldo Barbados!
Aldo Barbados decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
