The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Klitschko walks into a left hand.
Klitschko takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Yegor Klitschko seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Koski wants to slow Klitschko down by chopping away at his legs.

and Koski counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Koski takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Koski tries to score with a low kick but Klitschko moves his leg out of the way.

and Koski makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Klitschko really felt that one!
Koski dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Koski ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Koski throws a nice outside leg kick.
Koski feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Klitschkos jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Koski takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Klitschko shoots in for a takedown but Koski shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Tomi Koski is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
No joy there for Klitschko, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Klitschko throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Koski jabs Klitschko to the body, keeping him at a distance.

and Koski counters with a thumping low kick.

Koski lands a nice leg kick that just misses Klitschko's sensitive parts.
Klitschko is breathing heavily.

Klitschko has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
The crowd cheers as Koski lands an impressive looking overhand right. Klitschko doesn't seem phased though.
Klitschko fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Koski.
Koski finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.

and Koski takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Koski stuffs the takedown attempt from Klitschko. Klitschko gets slowly back to his feet.
Koski digs a good hook to Klitschko's body.
Klitschko fails to land with a series of punches.
Klitschko takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Klitschko shoots for a double leg takedown but Koski sprawls well. He's pushed Klitschko's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Yegor Klitschko. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Koski tries to land a front kick but Klitschko steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Klitschko takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

and Koski counters with a low kick, right behind Klitschko 's knee.
Koski lands a nice shot to the body.
Koski thuds his shin into the meat of Klitschko's side.
Koski lands a jab to Klitschko's midsection.
Koski is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Klitschko fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Koski is out of range.
Klitschko needs to keep his hands up - Koski had a free shot at his head there.
Koski scores with a jab to the body.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Koski pounces like a tiger and cracks Klitschko with a vicious hook! Klitschko is down but not out! Koski follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!
