The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barnes lands a right hook to the body.

and Barnes counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Barnes.
Perruzi avoids a wild elbow strike from Barnes.

Barnes stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
Barnes throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
Perruzi is trying to pull guard but Barnes has him pressed against the cage.

Perruzi wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Barnes has him pressed against the cage.
Perruzi is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Barnes to keep the fight standing.
Brady Barnes has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Stefano Perruzi.

Perruzi wants to control from the top but Barnes keeps moving.
Perruzi really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Barnes. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Barnes is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Barnes is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Barnes works his way into side control.

Barnes has hold of Perruzi's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Perruzi seems comfortable defending it but Barnes has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Perruzi is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Perruzi is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Barnes couldn't care less - he's delighted!
