The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Houle feints and as Goatboy raises his hands in defense, Houle changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Houle tries to free his leg and advance position but Goatboy is retaining full guard.
Houle trying to control the position from guard on top but Goatboy is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Houle stops Goatboy from standing up.
Houle looking to sit in guard and control but Goatboy gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Goatboy wanted to stand there but Houle had control of the position.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Houle.
Houle slips under a jab.
Goatboy lands with an uppercut that bounces Houle off the cage and back into range.

Houle shoots in but Goatboy avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Goatboy scores with a sloppy right hand. Houle should have avoided that one.

Houle closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Houle is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Goatboy is aware though and is defending well.
Houle has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.
