Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between DJ Brona (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Luis Mendoza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Luis Mendoza told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mendoza throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Brona tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Mendoza is in Brona's guard.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Mendoza working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.

We've been hearing good reports from Brona's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
