Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Harald Hillgrund (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Christopher McCormick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McCormick is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Shipping up to Boston. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Hillgrund avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
McCormick has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Hillgrund moves away from the strike by McCormick.

McCormick lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Hillgrund swings for the body but McCormick moves out of range.
McCormick lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Hillgrund shoots in looking for a takedown. McCormick tries to sprawl out of it but Hillgrund keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. McCormick manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Hillgrund swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
We've been hearing reports that Hillgrund has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Hillgrund connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused McCormick some visible discomfort.

Hillgrund has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Hillgrund is stalling here. McCormick is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Hillgrund seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and McCormick has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

McCormick gets to mount! Hillgrund was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.
Hillgrund tries to lock up and control but McCormick gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

McCormick throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Hillgrund is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.

Hillgrund has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by McCormick.

Hillgrund takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
A lazy left from McCormick finds it's target.
McCormick misses with an uppercut. Hillgrund saw that one coming.
McCormick throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
McCormick tries to move into range but Hillgrund moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
McCormick is rocked!
Hillgrund waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract McCormick.
McCormick is still on wobbly legs! Can Hillgrund finish him?
McCormick bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Hillgrund looks to land a right hand but McCormick moved out of range.
Hillgrund cracks McCormick's jaw with two stiff jabs then ducks low and throws a soul-severing right uppercut to the mouth!! McCormick slumps to the ground with blood on his lips. The referee steps in before Hillgrund can do further damage! This one is done, son!

Harald Hillgrund decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
Christopher McCormick was interviewed post fight and said 'I'm sorry to my friends and family I came out here and gave it my best the part on a good show and wIn.I know I came up a little short I would love a rematch but will fight anybody I'll be back the next time I'll get The win'.
