Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Trevor Gratis and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Slasher avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Trenholm closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Trenholm lands in his opponent's guard.
Trenholm wanted to stand there but Slasher had control of the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Trenholm postures up in Slasher's guard and throws a big left but Slasher blocks it.

Slasher misses with a takedown attempt - Trenholm sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Trenholm feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

We've been informed that Trenholm has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.

Slasher tries to close the distance and clinch but Trenholm swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Slasher is looking to pass into half guard but Trenholm pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Trenholm is in guard.

Slasher dives in and grabs Trenholm's left leg, looking for a takedown. Trenholm pushes down on Slasher's head and hops out.

Slasher changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Trenholm tries to avoid it but Slasher manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Trenholm to the ground. Trenholm escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Slasher throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Trenholm's waist but Trenholm gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Slasher off to one side.

Trenholm thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Slasher is on top in guard.
Slasher looking to sit in guard and control but Trenholm gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

The fight stays on the outside here - Slasher looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Slasher lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Trenholm circles away quickly and effectively.
Slasher looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Trenholm is fending him off so far but Slasher persists. Nope, Trenholm circles away and we're back to standing.
Slasher darts in looking for a takedown but Trenholm gets double underhooks and turns Slasher into the cage.
Trenholm is trying to trip Slasher. He has hold of a leg but Slasher is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Trenholm persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Trenholm slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Slasher working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Trenholm doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Trenholm manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
