PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ceasar Morgan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Peter Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Morgan might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Fat Lip. Smith has chosen Crazy Train as his entrance music. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith tries to land a front kick but Morgan steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Smith throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Smith throws a quick inside leg kick.
Morgan changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Smith tries to avoid it but Morgan manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Smith to the ground. Smith escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Morgan changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Smith looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Smith is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Morgan has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Smith holds on to Morgan's head and controls the position momentarily.
Morgan will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Morgan wants to lay and pray for a moment but Smith keeps working.

Morgan seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Smith does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Smith throws a strike from the bottom that misses.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Ceasar Morgan just wasn't active enough.
Morgan will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Horrible takedown by Morgan or perhaps it was just good defense by Smith which made him look bad.

Smith dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Morgan. That did some damage!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Morgan has hold of Smith's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Smith tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Morgan cranks the arm and Smith screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Smith, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

An out of breath Ceasar Morgan thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
