The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

McFly pushes Ruggiero up against the cage in a clinch.
McFly lands a body shot in the clinch.
A quick uppercut on the inside from McFly.
Ruggiero throws an elbow that misses.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, McFly creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

It looks like Vinny Ruggiero has been cut.
Ruggiero connects with a knee to the head.
McFly gets through Ruggiero's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
McFly misses with a hook to the ribs.

Ruggiero told us before the fight that he's been working on his elbows. An under utilised technique these days - let's see if it can sway the outcome of the fight.

Ruggiero prevents a body shot from McFly.
McFly throws a punch but it's blocked by Ruggiero.

Ruggiero using the Thai plumb to throw knees but McFly has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
McFly lands on the inside with an uppercut.

McFly drops Ruggiero onto one knee with a big uppercut from the clinch! Ruggiero is propped up by the cage and works his way back to his feet!

Ruggiero is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
McFly dips a shoulder and cracks Ruggiero with a mighty uppercut! Ruggiero falls back against the cage and McFly unloads with a barrage of strikes! Ruggiero is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - McFly screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!
