Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Anton Dorozhkin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Schilling (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dorozhkin's entrance music is SMC HOODRATS. A fine choice. The crowd seem to be enjoying Schilling's choice of entrance music: Roy Jones - Can't be touched. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Anton Dorozhkin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 10 - 2, fighting out of Amsterdam, Joe Schilling!
The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Franklyn Lucas and Joseph Jones.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dorozhkin moves out of range as Schilling strikes.
Good shot there by Dorozhkin.
Dorozhkin dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Schilling. That did some damage!
Dorozhkin pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Dorozhkin slips a jab from Schilling.
Dorozhkin throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Dorozhkin doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Joe Schilling seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Dorozhkin looks to land a right hand but Schilling moved out of range.
Schilling thows a body shot but no joy.

Schilling fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Dorozhkin to the ground. Schilling is now in Dorozhkin's guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Schilling thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Dorozhkin is looking to stand up but Schilling isn't so interested in that idea.

Schilling is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Dorozhkin is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Dorozhkin has escaped and now he's on top!
Dorozhkin controls from within his opponent's guard.
Dorozhkin is looking to stand up but Schilling won't let him.

Schilling throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Dorozhkin escapes and throws Schilling's legs to the side, diving into side control!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Dorozhkin has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Schilling moves out of range as Dorozhkin strikes.
Dorozhkin thumps Schilling with a low kick.
Dorozhkin bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Schilling throws a series of punches but Dorozhkin avoids them all with ease.
Schilling finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Schilling closes this distance looking for a takedown but Dorozhkin circles away.
Schilling misses with a body kick.
Dorozhkin ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Dorozhkin thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Schilling if he has to take too many more of those.
Schilling misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Dorozhkin.
Anton Dorozhkin is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Schilling has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Dorozhkin.
Dorozhkin connects with the punch.
Dorozhkin just misses with a punch to the body.
Schilling misses with a hook to the body
and Dorozhkin counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Schilling lands a jab to Dorozhkin's midsection.

Dorozhkin scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Schilling doesn't seem bothered though.
We've been told by Dorozhkin's head coaches at gym closing that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Dorozhkin walks into a straight right hand from Schilling.

Dorozhkin is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Dorozhkin stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Dorozhkin digs a good hook to Schilling's body.
Schilling connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Dorozhkin scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Schilling shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Dorozhkin as he jumps to the side.
Dorozhkin throws a leg kick which misses Schilling's front leg but catches the back leg as Schilling tries to avoid it.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Schilling shoots in and drives through. Dorozhkin sprawls well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Dorozhkin thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Schilling if he has to take too many more of those.
Dorozhkin ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Dorozhkin avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Schilling looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Dorozhkin is fending him off so far but Schilling persists. Nope, Dorozhkin circles away and we're back to standing.

Schilling throws a body punch but Dorozhkin moves out of range.
Schilling lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Schilling misses with a looping right.
A combination from Schilling does no damage.
A solid body kick from Dorozhkin.

A kick lands to the mid section there for Dorozhkin.
Schilling has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from Dorozhkin.
Dorozhkin slips a straight right by Schilling.
Dorozhkin scores with a nice strike.
Schilling takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Dorozhkin misses with a hook. Schilling ducked under it nicely.
Schilling has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Dorozhkin.
An inside leg kick lands from Dorozhkin.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Dorozhkin.
Schilling takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Schilling throws a right hand that misses
and Dorozhkin counters with a slapping leg kick.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Schilling misses with a straight right.
A looping hook to the body misses from Dorozhkin. Schilling does a little dance to reset his feet.
Dorozhkin moves away from the strike by Schilling.
Dorozhkin on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Dorozhkin throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Schilling.


Schilling is rocked!
Schilling blocks a head kick by Dorozhkin.
Schilling is still on wobbly legs! Can Dorozhkin finish him?
Schilling fails with a takedown attempt.
Schilling seems to have recovered his senses.
Dorozhkin cracks a nice hook into Schilling's ribs.
Schilling's coach down at Valhalla Training Grounds was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Schilling's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Dorozhkin throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Schilling pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Schilling will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Dorozhkin scores with a nice strike.
Schilling on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Dorozhkin. Dorozhkin obviously looking to wear him down.
Dorozhkin is looking to slow Schilling down with leg kicks.
Schilling looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Schilling misses with a left hand
and Dorozhkin connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Schilling doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Schilling throws a body kick that misses.
Schilling lands with a right hand.
Schilling misses with a lunging right hand
and Dorozhkin counters with a crisp right that sends Schilling to the canvas! Dorozhkin follows up with punches from the mount and this one is all over!
