Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Smosh Smurt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeremy Lloris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Smosh Smurt!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jeremy Lloris!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Ian Loll and Trevor Gratis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lloris stuffs the takedown attempt from Smurt. Smurt gets slowly back to his feet.
Smurt fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
A head kick misses from Lloris.

Smurt changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Lloris tries to avoid it but Smurt manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Lloris to the ground. Lloris escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Smosh Smurt. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Smurt clinches with his opponent.
Lloris stops a takedown attempt from Smurt.
Lloris jumps guard but Smurt turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Lloris has Smurt pushed against the cage.

Lloris escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Lloris tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Lloris shoots in looking for a takedown but Smurt manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Lloris's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Lloris misses with a head kick.
Smurt tries to land a front kick but Lloris steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Lloris takes a shot to the body in his stride.

Jeremy Lloris seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Smurt lands a lovely overhand right.

Smurt fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Lloris, pushing him back against the cage.
Smurt prevents Lloris from breaking the clinch.
Smurt tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Lloris avoids it.
Smurt wants to break the clinch but can't.
Lloris told us before the fight that he's been working on his elbows. An under utilised technique these days - let's see if it can sway the outcome of the fight.
Smurt blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Lloris is trying to pull guard but Smurt turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

Lloris is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Smurt has a closed guard, preventing Lloris from standing up.

Smurt has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Lloris can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Smurt pulls Lloris in close to his closed guard and prevents Lloris from doing any damage or advancing position.

Smurt had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Lloris defends it easily.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Smurt is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Lloris defends well.
Smurt looking to hit a scissor sweep but Lloris is one step ahead there.
Smurt keeping moving, preventing Lloris from controlling successfully.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Smurt has a closed guard, preventing Lloris from standing up.
Smurt is pulling down on Lloris's head. It's preventing any offense from Lloris, at least for the moment.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Smurt manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Lloris comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
Smurt blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Lloris lands an elbow that stopped Smurt in his tracks for a moment.


It looks like Smosh Smurt has been cut.
Smurt tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Lloris just stands there and leans against the cage.

Lloris tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Smurt smiles and moves away.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Lloris is defended easily by Smurt.
Lloris tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Smurt manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Smurt has taken the fight to the clinch.
Lloris lands a right hand that snaps the head of Smurt backwards.
Lloris tries to stall but Smurt uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Smurt drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Lloris stalling in the clinch but Smurt improves position.

Lloris scores with a shoulder strike.
Lloris fails to pull guard.
Smosh Smurt has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jeremy Lloris.
Smurt tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Lloris tries to throw a body punch but Smurt avoids it by throwing Lloris back against the cage.
A battle for position here, against the cage.

Smurt jumps guard and drags Lloris to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Smurt is on top in guard.

Lloris has a couple of punches blocked by Smurt.

Smurt works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.

Smurt is controlling the pace.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Smurt tried to score with a low kick but Lloris checks it.

Smurt shoots for a double leg takedown but Lloris sprawls well. He's pushed Smurt's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Smurt goes for a double leg but Lloris avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Lloris continues to drive forward.

Smurt prevents a body shot from Lloris.
Smurt drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Lloris gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Smurt blocks a punch to the side of the head.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Lloris tries to work over Smurt's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

Jeremy Lloris has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Smosh Smurt is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Smurt makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Jeremy Lloris.
I think Smurt has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
