Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Davey Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matt Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Matt Gracie is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Davey Smith!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Matt Gracie!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Don Winkell.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith throws a shot from downtown. Gracie moves away and avoids it.
Gracie needs to keep his hands up - Smith had a free shot at his head there.
Smith throws a big shot that misses.
Gracie tries for a takedown but Smith circles away easily
and Smith cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Smith scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Smith feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Gracies jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Gracie tries to clinch up.
Matt Gracie seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Smith loads up on a big right hand but Gracie slips the punch.
Gracie moves away from the strike by Smith.
Smith thuds his right hand into Gracie's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Smith cracks Gracie with an open hand slap.
Smith looks to throw the jab but Gracie is out of range.
Gracie darts in trying to clinch
and Smith counters with a lovely straight right hand!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Gracie closes the distance but Smith moves to the side
letting Smith counter with a right hand.
Gracie shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Smith counters with a straight right hand.
Gracie uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Smith.
Smith is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Smith lands with a shot to the body.
Smith lands with a straight right. Gracie didn't see that one coming.
Gracie moves out of range of the strikes.
Gracie tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Smith counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Gracie is rocked!

Gracie shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Smith as he jumps to the side.
Davey Smith has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Matt Gracie.
Gracie looks winded!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Smith misses with a hook.
Gracie bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Davey Smith is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
No luck for Gracie with that takedown attempt.
The fighters circling - Smith throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Jab, jab by Smith - just one landing.
Gracie is trying desperately to land a takedown but Smith is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Gracie.
Smith looks to land a right hand but Gracie moved out of range.
Smith is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Gracie closes the distance and clinches up with Smith, looking for a takedown. Gracie pushes Smith against the cage but Smith circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Smith's jab looks to have found its range, popping Gracie under the eye.

and Smith connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Gracie is still on wobbly legs! Can Smith finish him?
Gracie takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Smith scores with a nice strike.
A slow jab from Smith misses its intended target.
Nice defenses there by Gracie.
Gracie tries to clinch
and Smith counters with a huge right that knocks Gracie out cold! Smith is running around with a crazed look on his face - you can see how much that meant to him!
