Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Abdullah Slice (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kendrik Down (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Slice comes to the cage accompanied by Last Resort-Papa Roach. Abdullah Slice has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Slice changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Down tries to avoid it but Slice manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Down to the ground. Down escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

letting Slice counter with a right hand.
Down displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Slice throws out the jab.
Down scores with a nice strike.
Down misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Slice.
Down paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

Down dodges the punch combination from Slice.
Down swings for the body but Slice moves out of range.
Down takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Slice gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Slice will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Down shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Slice is trying to defend but Down finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Slice might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Down keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Slice will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

and Down connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Slice swings widly with a right hand
and Slice takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Slice throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Down counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

A punch lands to the side of Down 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Down is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Slice had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.

Down drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Kendrik Down dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Down takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.

It looks like Kendrik Down has been cut.

Slice misses with a few strikes there.

Down clinches up with Slice and pushes him back against the cage.
Slice is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
A body shot lands from Down.
Slice wants to take the fight to the mat but Down manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Down stops a takedown attempt from Slice.

Down pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Down cracks Slice with an open hand slap.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Slice rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Down moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Down's coach down at ATT was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Down's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Down throws a hook but Slice avoids it easily.
A looping hook to the body misses from Down. Slice does a little dance to reset his feet.
Slice fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Down on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Slice moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Down has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Slice finds it's way round the side to connect with Down's head.
Slice tries for a takedown but Down sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
The fighters circling - Slice throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

and Down counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Slice is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.

and Down cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Down leaves Slice with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Abdullah Slice seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Slice shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Down napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Down uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Slice.

Well Down has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
