Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Samir Kahric (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aaron Morris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kahric comes to the cage accompanied by When I Die - Genocide(Jusuf Dzilic). Morris has chosen happy as his entrance music. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Samir Kahric!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Aaron Morris!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Matheus Silva and Edson Gomes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kahric is trying hard to land a takedown here. Morris sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

and Morris counters with a big head kick but Kahric shrugs it off.

It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Kahric postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Morris is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Kahric, into his guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kahric has hold of Morris's hands but Morris slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Morris seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Morris thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Morris wants to stand up but Kahric has a hold of him and won't allow it.

Morris working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Morris uses his free foot to push down on Kahric's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Kahric.

Morris is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Morris gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Morris gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Morris apologises and we restart here on the feet.

Morris has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Kahric is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Kahric shoots in looking for a takedown but Morris manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Kahric's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Morris lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Morris throws a nice looking combination but Kahric bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Morris feints and then cracks Kahric's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Kahric down.

Kahric bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!


Kahric changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Morris tries to avoid it but Kahric manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Morris to the ground. Morris escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Kahric looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.

Morris is fighting off a takedown attempt but Kahric is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Morris to the mat. Morris regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Morris has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Kahric has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.

Kahric tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Kahric has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Kahric goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Morris has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Kahric but great work by Morris.

Well Morris has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
