Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Simon Bush (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Macario Sakay (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sakay has chosen alab ng puso by rivermaya as his entrance music. Macario Sakay will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Macario Sakay!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Kenichi Hosakawa and Tatsuya Matsuyama.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bush shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Sakay napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Sakay is working to avoid the ground and pound but Bush connects with a decent elbow.

Bush decides to stand back up.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Sakay enables Bush to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Sakay manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Sakay tries to strike from the bottom.
Sakay wants to sweep here but Bush controlling him for the moment.
Bush keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Sakay's head.

Bush gets to his feet - Sakay follows without any prompting.

Bush has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Bush decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Sakay, up you get!
