Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hendrik Daross (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Asano Arai (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Arai is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Fantastic Baby - BIG BANG. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 4 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Asano Arai!
The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, Daniel Bishop and Steven Brown.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Arai swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Daross counters with a good low kick that Arai was not able to check.
A telegraphed right hand from Arai misses the target.
Arai throws a lazy right hand but Daross sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Arai tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Daross manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Daross misses with a kick to the body.
A cross from Daross lands.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Arai has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Daross is looking to chop away at Arai's legs.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Arai.
Arai moves forwards but Daross connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Arai closes this distance looking for a takedown but Daross circles away.

Arai fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Daross avoids it really well and circles away.
Arai throws a hook but Daross blocks it.

Daross throws a sloppy head kick and Arai moves out of range easily.
Good leg kick by Arai there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

It looks like Hendrik Daross has been cut.
Arai lands with a hook. Daross tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Arai shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Daross but Daross pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Hendrik Daross has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Asano Arai.

Daross lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Arai circles away quickly and effectively.

Daross moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Daross fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Arai has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Arai walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Daross checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

Daross misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Daross will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Arai tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Daross crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Arai - the referee stops the clock and Daross gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Arai. Daross manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
