Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Frank Sparks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brad Norvell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Frank Sparks has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Frank Sparks!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Brad Norvell!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Paul Tew and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Norvell blocks a jab.
Sparks swinging wildly here.
Sparks takes a swing at Norvell's ribcage but misses.
Sparks throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Norvell stuns Sparks with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
We've been told by Sparks's head coaches at Supremacy MMA Academy that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Sparks lands a head shot.
Norvell looks to land a combination but Sparks avoids it well.
Sparks fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Norvell manages to avoid it.
Norvell dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Sparks takes one on the button.
Sparks misses with a wild body shot.
Norvell lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Sparks really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Sparks throws out a loose jab but Norvell uses good head movement to avoid it.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Sparks misses with a straight left.

Sparks lands with a good body shot.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Norvell has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
A combination from Sparks does no damage.
Norvell misses with a straight left.
Sparks has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Norvell finds it's way round the side to connect with Sparks's head.
Norvell misses with a few strikes there.

Norvell drops Sparks with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Sparks looks back up at him and smiles so Norvell waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.


Sparks is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
A telegraphed right hand from Sparks misses the target.
Oh Sparks is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Norvell tests Sparks's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Sparks works the jab nicely.
Sparks keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Norvell.
Sparks seems to have got his legs back now.
Norvell fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Sparks looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Sparks throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Sparks dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Sparks throws a jab when Norvell was well out of range.
Norvell keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Sparks.
Norvell closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

and Norvell counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Frank Sparks seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Norvell lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Sparks throws a nice looking combination but Norvell bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Norvell throws a hook but Sparks avoids it easily.
Sparks throws a lazy right hand but Norvell sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Sparks lands with a hook. Norvell tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Sparks misses with a combination
and Norvell counters with a three punch combo that has Sparks backing up. Sparks nods at Norvell to acknowledge the strikes.
Sparks looks to land a right hand but Norvell moved out of range.
Sparks throws a hook but Norvell blocks it.
Sparks misses with a looping right.
Norvell takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Sparks throws out a powerful jab.
Sparks misses with a combination
and Norvell counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Norvell clobbers Sparks with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Sparks throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Norvell throws a jab but it's blocked by Sparks.
Norvell slips under a jab from Sparks.
The crowd cheers as Norvell lands an impressive looking overhand right. Sparks doesn't seem phased though.
Sparks throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Norvell looks to land a combination but Sparks avoids it well.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Norvell slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Norvell scores with a body shot.
A punch combination from Sparks misses.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Brad Norvell dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Hammerfist, elbow! yells Norvell's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Norvell showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
Sparks is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Norvell is controlling him.
Norvell landing some decent shots from guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Norvell stands up over Sparks, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Norvell's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Norvell postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Norvell is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Norvell postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Sparks wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Norvell manages to pass to side control.
Norvell lands strikes from half guard.
Sparks is trying to stand.
Norvell has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Sparks on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.

Sparks tries to kick Norvell off but Norvell keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Sparks pushes Norvell off looking to stand but Norvell dives back in and keeps control.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Norvell working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Brad Norvell has got the better of the ground game so far.

Sparks is trying to stand up here but Norvell is controlling him well.

Norvell is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Sparks on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Sparks knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Norvell on the ground.
Norvell is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Sparks is hurt! He's hurt bad - Norvell fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Sparks from any more punishment! Congratulations to Norvell! Great finish!
