PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Sam Ponjev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Razor Sharp (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sharp is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by All I Need (Razor Sharp Remix). Razor Sharp will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Razor Sharp!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Sandra Marshall and Winston Alpacca.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for Ponjev, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
The fighters circling - Sharp throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Ponjev misses with a straight right.
Ponjev motions for Sharp to come forward. Ponjev throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Sharp defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Ponjev.

Ponjev closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Sharp's guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

That was a close fourth round but I would say that Sam Ponjev will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
