Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Isaac Frost (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sanosuke Sagara (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Isaac Frost!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Sanosuke Sagara!
The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Dirk Anderson and Winston Alpacca.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sagara feints and as Frost raises his hands in defense, Sagara changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Frost is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Sagara wants to control from the top but Frost keeps moving.
Sagara preventing the sweep.

Frost is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Sagara defends well.

Sagara drops back looking for a leg! Frost is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Frost manages to kick Sagara off! Sagara jumps back into Frost's guard.

Frost is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Frost is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Frost looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Frost working for a triangle but Sagara defends it easily.
Frost preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Frost working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Sagara.

Frost has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Sagara can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Frost looking for a sweep. Not yet Frost, not yet.
Sagara has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Frost is looking for a triangle but Sagara pushes his legs off easily.

Frost escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Sagara gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Frost wants to sweep but no luck.

Frost is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Sagara trying to control but Frost is working from the bottom.
Sagara throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Frost works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Frost keeping moving, preventing Sagara from controlling successfully.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Frost looking for a sweep. Not yet Frost, not yet.

Frost throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Frost wants to sweep here but Sagara controlling him for the moment.

Frost has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Sagara is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Frost.
My spies in Island Premium 20x CT's inform me that Sagara has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!

Sagara is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Frost knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Frost is looking to regain half guard here but Sagara keeps moving and retains side control.
Sagara wants to stand but Frost has his arm trapped.

Sagara thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Frost is looking for a sweep.

Sagara wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Frost, who protects the arm well.
Frost is looking to regain half guard here but Sagara keeps moving and retains side control.
Frost is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Sagara off and has taken his back!
I really don't envy Sagara right now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sagara keeps trying to improve his position.
Frost is trying to stick to Sagara's back but Sagara is turning into Frost. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Frost's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Sagara.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Sagara drops back looking for a leg! Frost is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Frost manages to kick Sagara off! Sagara jumps back into Frost's guard.
Sagara tries to free his leg and advance position but Frost is retaining full guard.

Frost looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Sagara is looking to work some ground and pound but Frost has wrist control.
Sagara postures up in Frost's guard and throws a big left but Frost blocks it.

Frost is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Sagara defends well.

Frost has his foot on Sagara's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Sagara works his way back into a safe position though.
Frost keeping full guard, as Sagara tries to pass.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Frost working for a triangle but Sagara defends it easily.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Frost wants to sweep here but Sagara controlling him for the moment.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Isaac Frost dominated that round.
That's time! Frost's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.



Frost bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Sagara is looking for a sweep.

Frost tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Frost has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Isaac Frost overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Frost is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Sagara looks calm but he's in trouble here. Frost gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Sagara is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Frost lets go of the hold and Sagara can pop his arm back in it's socket.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:35 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Isaac Frost!
After winning the bout, Isaac Frost thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
