The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Jones throws a hook but Ko avoids it easily.
We've been told by Ko's head coaches at Facebreaker Academy that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Jones throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Jones misses with a left hand
and Ko counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Ko looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

and Ko counters with a straight right hand.
Jones needs to keep his hands up - Ko had a free shot at his head there.

Jones throws a jab but it's blocked by Ko.
Jones throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Ko sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Jones fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Ko manages to avoid it.
Nice defenses there by Ko.
Jones fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Jones lands with a hook. Ko tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

Jones misses with a straight left.
Jones lands a jab to Ko's midsection.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Ko moves away from the strike by Jones.
Jones connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Ko momentarily.
Jones comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Jones uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Ko.
Ko gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Jones throws a looping overhand right but Ko ducks down to avoid it.
Jones throws a body punch but Ko moves out of range.

Jones tries to bum rush Ko with a series of wild strikes but Ko uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Ko really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
A slow jab from Jones misses its intended target.

Jones just misses with a punch to the body.
Jones throws an overhand right that lands on Ko's shoulder, as Ko tries to avoid the shot.
Jones scores with a crisp jab that stopped Ko in his tracks.
Ko looks to land a combination but Jones avoids it well.
Ko moves out of range of the strikes.

Jones lands a left and a right that send Ko crashing to the mat, dazed. Jones thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Oh Ko is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Ko glances at the clock... BAM! Jones nails him with a big right hand! A momentary lapse in concentration sends Ko crashing to the mat! The referee steps in and this one is over! Damn, Ko is out of it, he thinks the ref is his opponent!

After winning the bout, IceMan Jones thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
