The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Unit throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Batistuta catches Unit with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Batistuta does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Batistuta misses the shot to the body.
Unit swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Batistuta takes one on the button.

Batistuta looks to score with a jab to the body but Unit is just out of range.
Batistuta moves forwards but Unit connects with a nice, crisp jab.

Unit fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Batistuta has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Unit turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Unit manages to end up in side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Batistuta working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Unit doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Unit manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

That was a close second round but I would say that Doom Unit will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Unit is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Batistuta can't fight it off and eventually Unit manages to take the fight to the floor. Batistuta looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Unit, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

A less than humble Doom Unit misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
