Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Samart Payakaroon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tonton Hong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hong is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Hong Entrance Song. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Samart Payakaroon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tonton Hong!
The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Chad Campbell and Bruno Lombardi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Payakaroon throws a body punch but Hong moves out of range.
Hong takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Hong lands a jab to Payakaroon's midsection.
Hong takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Decent striking displayed by Payakaroon there.
Payakaroon misses with a head kick.
Hong misses with a hook.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Hong. Payakaroon shrugs it off though.
Payakaroon really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Hong tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Payakaroon was well out of range. Poor timing from Hong.
Hong fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Payakaroon has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Hong throws a series of punches but Payakaroon avoids them all with ease.
Hong scores with a jab. Payakaroon acknowledges it with a nod of the head.

Hong ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Hong throws a hook to the side of Payakaroon's head but Payakaroon sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Payakaroon gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Payakaroon throws a low kick but it's checked well by Hong.

and Hong counters with a nice low kick that buckles Payakaroon's knee momentarily.
Hong has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Payakaroon uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Hong.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

We've been hearing that Payakaroon has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Payakaroon feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Payakaroon lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Payakaroon is looking to take a break and control but Hong is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Hong is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Payakaroon's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Payakaroon's back!

OK we're going to have a standup here. Tonton Hong hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Payakaroon shoots in looking for a takedown. Hong tries to sprawl out of it but Payakaroon keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Hong manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Hong walks into a stiff left hand from Payakaroon.

Hong thows a body shot but no joy.
Hong comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Hong throws a poor cross that misses

and Payakaroon decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Hong's guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Payakaroon throws a strike but Hong rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Hong is looking to work some ground and pound but Payakaroon has wrist control.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Payakaroon is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
