PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vaan Tseng (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Benny Brett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Tseng might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Anathema - Deep. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tseng connects with an inside leg kick.
Tseng throws a head kick that misses
and Brett cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Brett shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Tseng bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Brett's guard.

Brett misses with a takedown attempt - Tseng sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Tseng throws a nice looking combination but Brett bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Tseng here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.

Brett slaps away a takedown attempt from Tseng, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Tseng lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Brett circles away quickly and effectively.

Tseng changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Brett looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Tseng is looking to take a break and control but Brett is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Brett wants the takedown. Tseng is fighting it off but Brett persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Tseng's guard against the cage.

Tseng is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Brett can do to turn this around?

Brett has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Tseng doesn't defend quickly enough and Brett has managed to lock this one up! Can Tseng escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Brett on a fantastic submission victory.

In his post fight interview, Benny Brett started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
