Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nick Poppy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rumble Lord (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lord has chosen Let's get ready to Rumble by Jock Jams as his entrance music. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Rumble Lord!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Shigeki Fujiwara and Tatsuya Matsuyama.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A low kick from Poppy is predictable there

and Lord counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
My spies in Z-Force Academy inform me that Lord has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Lord slows the pace down in half guard.

Lord is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Poppy doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Lord.
Poppy wants to control but Lord is keeping busy.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Lord is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Poppy is just riding it out for now. Lord eventually gives up the hold.

Lord trying to mount his opponent but Poppy defends it.

Lord looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Lord has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Lord working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
Lord tries to control but Poppy wriggling away.

Poppy tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Lord is working for a guillotine from mount but Poppy frees his head quite easily.
Poppy working to try and regain half guard.
Lord takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Lord lands with some strikes.
Lord can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Poppy is looking to escape.

Lord lands a couple of good shots and Poppy has given up his back, trying to escape the position!

Lord keeps control of the position as Poppy tries to break free.
Poppy just trying to survive but Lord is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.
Poppy is keeping busy.
