The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bradshaw forces Gillette back against the cage and clinches.

Gillette manages to pull guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Bradshaw is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Gillette really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bradshaw. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Gillette creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Bradshaw tries to keep at a distance but Gillette has taken the fight into the clinch.

Gillette pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Gillette shoots for a takedown but Bradshaw saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Bradshaw tries to score a power double leg takedown but Gillette sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Bradshaw somewhat.

Gillette is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Bradshaw drops back looking for a leg! Gillette is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Gillette manages to kick Bradshaw off! Bradshaw jumps back into Gillette's guard.
Gillette controls Bradshaw momentarily but Bradshaw frees himself.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
