Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 22 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Melekh David!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 31 - 17 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dr Gonzo!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, and Jack Bonds.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gonzo leaves David with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
David shoots and misses
and Gonzo counters with a straight right hand.
Some bone on bone action there as Gonzo checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Gonzo swats away the attempt to clinch by David.
David connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
David tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Gonzo manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
David thows a body shot but no joy.

That was a close round but I would say that Melekh David will probably get the nod.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Dr Gonzo wasn't active enough on the ground.
David tries to close the distance and clinch but Gonzo swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
David moves out of range of the leg kick from Gonzo.

David goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
David throws the kick towards the body but Gonzo avoids it.
David lands a leg kick that knocks Gonzo off balance momentarily.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

David is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.
Gonzo shoots in for a double leg but David sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Melekh David.
