PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Aslan Taisumov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Victor Frolov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Taisumov comes to the cage accompanied by My World- Kid Cudi. Frolov has chosen Manowar - Holy War as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Frolov shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Taisumov's guard.
Frolov controls from within his opponent's guard.
Frolov prevents Taisumov from getting back to his feet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Frolov slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Frolov advances position into side control!

Frolov tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Frolov is chipping away with strikes.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Taisumov wants to get back to his feet but Frolov drags him back down.
Frolov advances to full mount.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Frolov working his ground and pound in the gym. So far it seems to be working well.
Frolov fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Taisumov wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.

Taisumov has left one of his arms exposed and Frolov doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Taisumov screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
