Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Marcin Sokol (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dirt McGirt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McGirt has chosen Shimmy Shimmy Ya as his entrance music. Marcin Sokol has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are William Peck, Dillan Fox and Elvis Blanc.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some bone on bone action there as McGirt checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
McGirt thuds a left hand into Sokol's body.
A nice combination there by Sokol.
Sokol lands with a straight right. McGirt didn't see that one coming.
The fighters circling - McGirt throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
McGirt throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Sokol thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on McGirt if he has to take too many more of those.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Sokol misses with a double jab.
McGirt throws the left hand but Sokol avoids the punch easily.
McGirt looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
McGirt takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Sokol throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Sokol.
Sokol swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by McGirt.
Sokol thuds a left hand into McGirt's body.
Sokol lands a jab to the head.
McGirt scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
That kick from Sokol tenderised McGirt's leg. McGirt is trying to keep his angry face on.
Sokol looks to throw the jab but McGirt is out of range.
Sokol tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.

McGirt tries to clinch

and Sokol holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Sokol gets through McGirt's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

McGirt tightens his grip and picks Sokol up, before dumping him to the ground. Sokol manages to land in guard.
Sokol has McGirt pulled in close to control his posture.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sokol is trying to keep McGirt in close.
McGirt won't allow Sokol to sweep him here.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Marcin Sokol.
McGirt throws an overhand right that lands on Sokol's shoulder, as Sokol tries to avoid the shot.

This has been an exciting period of action!
McGirt throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
A jab lands there for Sokol.
Sokol blocks a jab.
Sokol connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
McGirt lands a jab.
A punch combination from Sokol misses.
Sokol drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Sokol connects with a crisp jab.
McGirt has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Sokol staying out of range there.
McGirt walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Sokol checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
McGirt swinging wildly here.
McGirt tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Sokol manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Sokol fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and McGirt has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
McGirt scores with a sloppy right hand. Sokol should have avoided that one.
Sokol misses with a few strikes there.
Sokol throws a good cross that connects.
Sokol slips under a jab.
Sokol misses with a low kick.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Sokol, as that shot connected.
Sokol swings and misses with a hook to the body.
McGirt is looking to clinch but Sokol is avoiding it.
McGirt cracks Sokol with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Sokol chopping away at his opponent's legs.
McGirt throws a low kick, looking for Sokol's leg but Sokol calmly moves out of range.
Marcin Sokol is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
McGirt shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Sokol pinned against the cage. Sokol gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Sokol moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
McGirt takes a shot to the body in his stride.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
A lazy left from McGirt finds it's target.
McGirt jabbing away but nothing is landing.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
McGirt tries to score a power double leg takedown but Sokol sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten McGirt somewhat.
McGirt misses with a wild body shot.
McGirt throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
McGirt takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Sokol lands with a nice combination. McGirt backs away looking to recover.
Sokol does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
McGirt with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Sokol to score with a decent uppercut.

Sokol gets a clinch.

McGirt's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Sokol connects with a solid leg kick.
McGirt lands with a nice combination. Sokol backs away looking to recover.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
McGirt takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

Sokol lands a left and a right that send McGirt crashing to the mat, dazed. Sokol thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

McGirt is rocked!
We've been told by Sokol's head coaches at School Of Fighting that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Sokol lands with a thumping leg kick.
McGirt is still on wobbly legs! Can Sokol finish him?
McGirt looks winded!
Nice jab there from Sokol.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Sokol throws out a leg kick but McGirt moves out of range and Sokol only half commits.
McGirt seems to have recovered his senses.
McGirt on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Dirt McGirt is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
McGirt misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Sokol thumps McGirt with a low kick.
McGirt misses with a double jab
letting Sokol counter with a right hand.

Sokol feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends McGirt sprawling to the canvas! McGirt rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Sokol finish him?!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Sokol lands a body shot.
The crowd cheers as Sokol lands an impressive looking overhand right. McGirt doesn't seem phased though.
Sokol lands an uppercut out of nowhere! McGirt falls backwards - clearly groggy! Sokol dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!
