The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Daniel Franklin and Robert Twigg.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aureus tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Saffedine tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Aureus swivels and escapes.

Saffedine closes the distance and clinches.
Aureus misses with a punch to the body.
Aureus lands a damaging elbow.

It looks like Armos Saffedine has been cut.
Aureus presses Saffedine against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
Aureus trying to land knees to the body.
Aureus misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Aureus with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Saffedine wants a takedown.
Aureus lands an elbow inside.
Aureus lands a good knee to the midsection. Saffedine won't want to take too many of those.
Saffedine avoiding damage as Aureus throws knees to the body.

Aureus scores with a shot to the side of Saffedine's head.

That has opened up Armos Saffedine's cut even more.

Aureus tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Saffedine avoids it.
Saffedine takes a knee to the side of the body.
Saffedine blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Saffedine wants to take the fight to the mat but Aureus manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Staph Aureus has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Armos Saffedine.
Aureus creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Saffedine's defenses.

The cut above Armos Saffedine's eye is starting to cause him problems now.

Saffedine tries for a takedown but Aureus manages to get underhooks.

Saffedine breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Horrible takedown by Saffedine or perhaps it was just good defense by Aureus which made him look bad.
Aureus keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Aureus forces Saffedine back against the cage and clinches.

Aureus lands an elbow that stopped Saffedine in his tracks for a moment.

Armos Saffedine's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Armos Saffedine's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
