The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Halladay closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Halladay wants to stand but Pace has his arm trapped.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Halladay connects with a nice short shot to Pace's temple.
Halladay really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Pace. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Pace is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Halladay's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Halladay's back!

Pace is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Halladay has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Pace has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Halladay taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Pace doesn't care though - he's delighted!
